Three acts will appear on stage each day of the festival. Thanks to Rob Weaver for securing this musical entertainment for us.
The festival will open at 12 noon with Jordan Wickey, a member of the Jay County High School Band, playing the National Anthem.
On Saturday, this will be followed by Jeff Hardin who will be playing American Heritage music with the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. You’ll hear old-time fiddle and banjo tunes, guitar picking, and the singing of old-time country and mountain music with some gospel. This is good family fun for all.
At 1:15, Portland native Andy Frantz along with Jarod Stillwell will be presenting a variety of music including your favorite classic country and honkytonk music. They are members of the popular central Indiana band “The Cold Hearts”.
Local residents George Lopez and Butch Smith will play at 2:30. They will create acoustic music with a variety of oldies, classic rock, country, and cowboy songs.
At 12 noon Sunday, Ken Bantz will mainly be performing a selection of original music he has written over the years. Ken grew up on a farm near Dunkirk and started playing guitar at the age of ten. He has developed a passion for playing and writing music.
On stage at 1:15 will be Kaitlyn Schmit. Originally from Coldwater, Ohio, vocal powerhouse Kaitlyn started out as an acoustic performer and has been playing regionally with her full band “Kaitlyn Schmit and The Move” for five years. You’ll hear all sorts of music from 90s country and pop to rock and blues.
At 2:30 on Sunday will be the Cross Country Connection, a group which performed at our last festival. Enjoy a variety of traditional country music with humor added to wrap up our 2022 Heritage Festival.
Come both days to enjoy this outstanding selection of entertainment!
