Heritage Festival Entertainment

Musical entertainment will be presented on the festival stage each day. Between these acts, information about the various law enforcement departments in the county will be given. Thanks to Rob Weaver for securing these entertainers and to Nathan Springer and Jane Spencer for  coordinating the salute to law enforcement.

Saturday’s entertainment will begin at 11:15 a.m. with Sweet Country and the Dog Biscuits. This is a father and daughter duo who perform some of their original folk country music as well as songs you know and love. You will enjoy the music of Rick Ringger and Amy Vanator.

At 12:45 on Saturday, John Bultman will be on stage. John is a Vietnam veteran who is well known in this area as an original member of the Shady Grove Band. They have performed bluegrass music around the country, with a stop at SWM in Nashville back in 1977. John is an  outstanding banjo player who will be performing everything from old timey Bluegrass to modern acoustic music.

GLO and Butch will be performing at 2:00 p.m. This local duo of George Lopez and Butch Smith will create acoustic music with a variety of oldies, classic rock, country, and cowboy songs.

Sunday’s entertainment will begin at 11:15 a.m. with Jay County resident Ken Bantz. Ken will be performing a selection of original music he has written over the years. Ken grew up on a farm near Dunkirk and started playing guitar at the age of ten. He has developed a passion for playing and writing music.

Cross Country Connection will be on stage at 1:00 p.m. Sunday. Enjoy a variety of traditional country music with humor added in to wrap up our 2023 festival entertainment.
