Volunteers took advantage of a sunny day to move almost 20 file cabinets, containing probates and other records, from the Gilpin Annex to the Water Street Annex. Some of the files were on a cement floor in the Gilpin Annex. However, others were too heavy and were damaging the wooden
floor that was holding them.
The garage at the Water Street Annex has been insulated and has had heat and air conditioning run into it so that the files may all be in one place and on a cement floor.
Many thanks to volunteers Eldon and Sylvia Morrical and Bob Bailey who spent much of a day hauling the cabinets, one at a time from one annex to the other.
