Workers from Franklins Electrical Service are continuing to upgrade the outdated electrical ser-vice at the museum. The museum was closed for a few days while electricians ran new lines into the building and replaced aging breaker boxes. They have also run conduit to replace old outlets with grounded ones, as well as adding more outlets. Exit lights have been replaced and/or added as needed to meet current codes. Many of the lights now have with LED bulbs. The work will be fin-ished in the next few weeks.

This work is made possible by a Heritage Sup-port Grant in the amount of $33,900 which was received last year from the Indiana Historical Society and made possible by Lilly Endowment Inc., along with required matching funds donated by our members and friends.

Other recent upgrades have included a new telephone system after we discovered our answering machine was not working and two new copy machines which have been leased to replace outdated copiers.
