Thanks to two ladies stepping up to take charge of making the very popular JCHS caramel corn, it will be available at the Heritage Festival this year. Vicki Leonard has agreed to take charge of the project, and Bonnie Coffel will be her back-up.
About 500 bags of caramel corn will be made in four half-day sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 20 and 21 in the Asbury Unit-ed Methodist Church kitchen. At least eight persons are needed for each session.
If you are interested in learning the secrets of making this popular treat, just let the museum office know. It’s a fun, but tiring day.
